La supermodelo aparecerá en la serie "Ugly Betty'' de la cadena estadounidense ABC, dijo la actriz Becki Newton. Un representante de la empresa también confirmó el miércoles que Campbell hará de sí misma en el programa que produce la mexicana Salma Hayek.

"Ella estará en nuestro último episodio (de esta temporada), lo que es emocionante'', dijo Newton a la AP en la fiesta de lanzamiento de una tienda de anteojos de sol. "Personalmente pedí que no me pararan al lado de ella porque a (mi personaje) Amanda no le gustaría estar al lado de una persona tan alta y bonita''.

Newtown, quien interpreta a la decidida recepcionista Amanda Sommers en "Ugly Betty'', dijo no estar segura de que vaya a tener alguna escena con la modelo de 37 años, quien fue arrestada a principios de este mes bajo sospecha de agredir a un oficial, luego de que alguien llamara a las autoridades debido a un altercado en el Aeropuerto Heathrow de Londres.

Originalmente se había anunciado que Campbell sería una de las invitadas al programa el año pasado, lo que nunca ocurrió. Otras apariciones especiales de ``Ugly Betty'' incluyen a Victoria Beckham y Gene Simmons, quien resultó ser el padre de Amanda como parte de la trama.

Newton dijo que Simmons aparecerá nuevamente en un episodio posterior.
