Guillermo del Toro firma contrato para coescribir trilogía sobre vampiros

LOS ÁNGELES, Estados Unidos, sep. 25, 2008.- El mexicano Guillermo del Toro firmó con la editorial Harper Collins un contrato donde se compromete a coescribir una trilogía sobre vampiros, según información transmitida por The Hollywood Reporter.

El primero de los libros que se publicará llevará el título The Strain, que saldrá a la venta en verano de 2009.

    La trama abordará el tema de un virus vampiresco que se propaga en Nueva York y en el trascurso de la serie se decubrirá que el origen de este mal proviene desde la época del Antiguo testamente.

    Mientras tanto, Del Toro está en Nueva Zelanda afinando los detalles del rodaje de El Hobbit, filme que hará bajo la producción de Peter Jackson.

    Al igual que la trilogía de El Señor de los anillos, las dos partes de El Hobbit se rodarán simultáneamente y sus estrenos está programados para 2010 y 2011, repectivamente.
