Vuelve Cher al cine para actuar en un musical con Christina Aguilera

Los Angeles, 23 Jun. (Notimex).- Tras una década de ausencia, la veterana cantante y actriz Cher retornará a la pantalla grande para integrarse al elenco de la película "Burlesque", que protagonizará Christina Aguilera, reportó hoy aquí la revista "Variety".

El largometraje, un musical contemporáneo, será producido por Screen Gems de Sony Music, con un guión revisado por Susana Grant y contará con la dirección de Steven Antin.

Aguilera interpretará a una ambiciosa chica de Iowa, con una gran voz, que decide viajar a Los Angeles donde encuentra el éxito en un club neo-burlesque localizado en Sunset Boulevard.

En la película, cuya producción empezará en noviembre, Cher cantará y actuará como una ex bailarina topless que ahora es la dueña de un negocio que lucha por mantener abierto y le da la oportunidad a Aguilera para brillar, luego de demostrar sus cualidades en el canto.

El último filme en el que trabajó Cher fue "Tea with Mussolini", en 1999.
