Los Angeles, 13 Jul.- A casi un año de su boda con la actriz Scarlett Johansson, el artista canadiense Ryan Reynolds hizo público su deseo de convertirse en padre por medio de la adopción.

En una entrevista concedida a la revista "Glamour", el protagonista de "La propuesta" externó que tanto él como su esposa ya se encuentran preparados para dar ese paso.

"Tengo toda la intención de adoptar en breve. Estoy muy agradecido de tener a mi hermano en mi vida y no podría estar más que a favor de la adopción. Hay muchos niños en el mundo que necesitan un hogar", expresó.

En la familia de Reynolds, su hermano mayor es adoptado, por lo que el actor agregó que tanto él como su mujer están dispuestos a seguir con la tradición, de dar un hogar a niño huérfano.

Scarlett Johansson y Ryan Reynolds se conocieron en marzo de 2007 y en mayo del siguiente año anunciaron su boda para septiembre; la ceremonia se llevó a cabo de manera muy discreta en un parque natural, a las afueras de Vancouver.

Actualmente el actor se encuentra en cartelera con el filme "La propuesta", que protagoniza a lado de Sandra Bullock, cuya trama cuenta la historia de una editora a punto de ser deportada a su país de origen, Canadá, por lo que se verá obligada a pedirle matrimonio por conveniencia a su asistente.
