Polanski apela decisión de juez en caso de abuso sexual

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los abogados del cineasta Roman Polanski solicitaron el martes a una corte de apelaciones que anule la decisión de un juez de Los Angeles, quien se negó a desechar el caso por abuso sexual imputado hace décadas al director, quien se ha mantenido prófugo.

El abogado Chad Hummel dijo a la Corte de Apelaciones del Segundo Distrito de California que el juez rechazó considerar el caso de Polanski porque el director escapó del país hace 31 años y ha vivido en Francia desde entonces.

    Polanski se declaró culpable de tener relaciones sexuales con una adolescente de 13 años en 1977, pero escapó después. Recientemente solicitó que se desechara el caso, argumentando una conducta inapropiada del fallecido juez que acordó el arreglo para que se declarara culpable y después lo negó al acusado.
