NUEVA YORK, 22 de febrero (AP) - Jennifer López dio a luz a gemelos la madrugada de viernes, lo cual convierte a la cantante y actriz, y a su esposo, el salsero Marc Anthony, en padres de un niño y una niña, luego de uno de los más seguidos embarazos en la historia de la música popular, dijo la revista People.

El representante de López, Simon Fields, dijo que los bebés nacieron a las 12:45 de la mañana del viernes en Long Island, informó el sitio en internet de la revista, sin dar más detalles sobre el lugar.

Luego de meses de especulación, López confirmó su embarazo durante un concierto realizado en Miami en noviembre. Su padre, David Lopez, dijo este mes al programa "Escandalo TV", de la cadena Telefutura, que la cantante de 39 años esperaba gemelos.

Famosas embarazadas

Lopez y Antony, de 38 años, se casaron en el 2004. Los éxitos de ella incluyen "If You Had My Love" y "Jenny from the Block", y los de él el tema "I Need to Know". Ambos han grabado en inglés y español.

Los gemelos son los primeros hijos de ella, y el cuarto y quinto de él.

Un niño y una niña son el resultado del amor de esta pareja del espectáculo que ha sido cuidadosamente seguida por los medios en estos meses de espera.
