La incógnita mata y mantiene ocupados a los fotógrafos y chismólogos. Christina Aguilera pasea de centro comercial a boutique con su creciente vientre y no admite nada. Mientras, el público y seguidores asumen que ambas viven un momento feliz, pero ¿por qué no gritarlo a los cuatro vientos?

Las celebridades experimentan la angustia de muchas mujeres en cuanto a revelar su estado de preñez. Una razón válida es esperar a estar seguras que el embarazo va por buen camino después del primer trimestre. En el caso de Jennifer López se ha rumorado por años que no podía concebir, por lo que se podría comprender extra precaución para un anuncio público.

Pero cuando noche tras noche se está en tarima luciendo prendas holgadas de ropa sin ejecutar las dinámicas coreografías que la hicieron famosa, no admitir su estado es casi una burla. Pero, ¿por qué nos importa tanto?

Famosas embarazadas

Estamos en tiempos de guerra con una economía difícil. Concentrarnos en las vidas de los famosos es un escape a lo mundano. Con la saturación de papparazzi, blogs y portales de entretenimiento sentimos que nuestras estrellas favoritas son casi familia. Y aunque siempre nos interesa saber quién salió sin pantaletas o la última conquista del cantante de moda, los bebés de la farándula causan una fascinación sin igual desde que se encuentran en la panza hasta que dan sus primeros pasos.

Cuando Thalía anunció su embarazo causó furor. La noticia del nacimiento de su hija Sabrina Sakaë el pasado 7 de octubre alegró a sus fans y puso en alerta a la Prensa, que ahora se peleará para ver quién saca la primera foto de la nena. Ese es el mismo caso de Salma Hayek y su bebé Valentina Paloma, de quien aún no se han visto fotos.

Las fotos no sólo son lucrativas para los medios que las publican, sino para los artistas. Hace poco más de seis meses Luis Miguel y Aracely Arámbula se hicieron $3 millones de dólares más ricos al permitir que la revista Hola México tomara las primeras fotografías de su retoño Miguelito, que originaron dos portadas en la publicación de la elite de la sociedad.

Los pequeños se han convertido en los accesorios hot de sus famosos padres. Escenas que se repiten en cada hogar -correr bicicleta, visitas al parque- se convierten en un evento que exige ser fotografiado y grabado si artistas están involucrados. Brad Pitt acompaña a su hijo adoptivo Maddox a la escuela: un suceso. Suri Cruise corre de su mamá Katie Holmes en un parque: un acontecimiento.

La vigilancia por las panzas no acaba con el nacimiento de la criatura. Las madres famosas tienen que recuperar sus figuras, de eso viven. Claro, las estrellas tienen niñeras y entrenadores personales; el resto lidia con los pañales y las estrías. Heidi Klum dejó boquiabiertos a todos cuando desfiló en el fashion show de Victoria's Secret en 2005 a ocho semanas de haber dado a luz a su hijo Henry Guenther Ademola Dashtu Samuel.
