Desestimada demanda contra Jennifer López y otros por robo ideas para serie

Nueva York, 30 abr.- Un juez federal de Nueva York desestimó hoy la demanda que un escritor había presentado contra las cadenas de televisión CBS y UPN y la actriz y cantante Jennifer López, entre otros, acusándoles de robarle ideas para la serie "South Beach Miami".

El escritor Jack Bunick aseguraba en su demanda que la serie de televisión "South Beach", estrenada en enero de 2006, tenía demasiadas similitudes con la trama que él escribió en 1999 para el episodio piloto de una serie que se iba a llamar "South Beach Miami".

Sin embargo, el juez Richard Berman, de un tribunal federal en Manhattan, rechazó hoy esa demanda, presentada en abril de 2006 y en la que se incluía a Jennifer López por ser productora ejecutiva de la serie.

Según el texto de la decisión, el magistrado no considera que existan evidencias para llevar el caso a juicio y recuerda que el propio Bunick reconoce que su trama incluye "ideas genéricas y lugares comunes".
